Global vision positioning system for UAVs in outdoor GNSS-denied environments
This system helps uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) navigate precisely in outdoor areas where GPS signals are unavailable, like under dense tree cover or near signal jammers. It takes live images from the drone's downward-facing camera and matches them against pre-loaded satellite maps to calculate the drone's exact location. The output is highly accurate position data, enabling reliable autonomous flight in challenging environments for drone operators, logistics coordinators, or search and rescue teams.
Use this if you need to operate drones autonomously and with high precision in environments where traditional GPS signals are unreliable or completely absent.
Not ideal if your drone operations are exclusively in areas with strong, consistent GPS coverage or if you require indoor navigation.
