This project attempts to create a system which would bring in added ease to the visually impaired, through our nagivation, obstacle-detection, obstacle distance identification and speech-driven system to seamlessly integrate applications like Ola, Uber, etc. This was built during the PW-Hacks Jan-2023.
This system helps visually impaired individuals navigate their surroundings more easily and safely. It takes real-time visual information from a camera, processes it to detect obstacles and their distances, and then provides voice-guided instructions and alerts. This tool is designed for visually impaired people and their guardians to assist with daily mobility, both indoors and outdoors.
